Try Asus P5B normal or the P5B Deluxe.

someone had already said that the 975 boards are made for older cpu's/memory and the 965's are ideal for conroe. new boards are coming out. 2 newest ones from asus are

which should be more affordable but i havent seen it for sale yet.
The asus p5b non deluxe was recomended as an affordable board by quite a few people.
