rivalneighbour Distinguished Jul 18, 2006 117 0 18,680 Aug 31, 2006 #4 someone had already said that the 975 boards are made for older cpu's/memory and the 965's are ideal for conroe. new boards are coming out. 2 newest ones from asus are p5b-v http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=0&model=1314&modelmenu=1 which i have seen for $300.00 and p5b-vm http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=332&model=1312&modelmenu=1 which should be more affordable but i havent seen it for sale yet. The asus p5b non deluxe was recomended as an affordable board by quite a few people. *this is all just my opinion though. i am not a tech/repair
