I plugged a mic into my Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS today and nothing happened. :^(

I know the mic works because I use it on my other computer. But on this computer Windows sound wizard won't even say it exists. Are there any settings somewhere I have to fart with?

And a side note: my sound is extremely choppy, anybody got any pointers for fixing this?
