Offline folders issue

We recently changed the name of a file server that was
used to keep users' redirected my documents folder. My
docs was set to be available offline for these users. Now
i am receiving an error that the old server is
unavailable. What is the proper way to change the path of
the stored documents and avoid this error?

I have a similar problem as well. We had to change the name of a server that
had Offline Folder synchronization configured for several clients using
notebooks.

I have been looking everywhere to find a way to remove the old server
listing from Offline Folders so that the client won't try to synch with it
anylonger.

I tried turning off Offline Folders from the client and then deleting all
temp files from the client, and then turning Offline Folders back on and
setting it to go to the new server, but the old name remains. I've tried
looking through the registry and I've read every KB article and TechNet
article on Offline Folders that I could find, but I haven't been able to find
a solution yet.

Is there a proper procedure to make this change? The article listed above is
not helpful for what I need either.
