Windows Explorer will not display folders pane

I cannot get the folders pane to display in Windows
Explorer. Clicking the "Folders" icon on the toolbar
simply show a greyed out pane, without the directory/file
structure.

Any ideas how to resolve this, would be much appreciated.

Copy the lines below into a file named 'IEReg.bat' and double click it to
run it. This will reregister some DLLs for IE and the operating system.

Thank-you very much. I have been trying to figure this out
for over a week now and haven't found it until I saw your
thread.
