What does one long beep at post mean? This is at least twice as long as a regular post beep and the system will not start....:(

Is this a new build? Also give system specs.

Check your motherboard's manuel. It should give you a list of beep codes and there meaning.
My guess would be check your video card. Make sure it's seated correctly. Just to be safe double check all your connections inside the case.

No sir its not a new build..I had a crash re-installed Windows and the a backup of the C drive..Started it this morning and went into the BIOS and changed a couple of things and got the long single beep...

The beep could point to multiple issues depending on what mobo you have. You really need to look at your mobo manufacturer website/manual. Or, you can contact their tech support if you can't figure it out (I mean, that's what they're there for!).

As suggested by mpilchfamily, clearing your CMOS might help (usually a jumper on your mobo). Once again, consult your manual for instructions.
