Here are the parts for my first build; I'll be using it for gaming, movies, internet. I'd like to stay between $2000-$2500.

1)CPU: Conroe E6400 and Zalman CNPS9500 HSF
2)MB: ASUS P5W DH deluxe
3)RAM: Corsair xms2 DDR2 800 2GB
4)GPU: ATI x1900xt and Zalman VF-900
5)TV Tuner: TV wonder 650
6)Sound Card: Creative X-fi (already bought)
7)Case: NZXT Apollo
8)Hard Drives: 2xSeagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB
9)DVD drive: Samsung w/lightscribe
10)Power Supply: Antec TP2 550w
11)Speakers: Logitech Z-5300e
12)OS - XP Home
13)Monitor: Dell 19" flat panel (already bought)
14)Accessories: Keyboard: Logitech G15, Mouse: Logitech G7, AS5 Thermal Paste, Sennheiser HD280 headphones

I want to overclock, and wanted to go with the scythe ninja or something like that, but I'm worried it wont fit into the NZXT case (read a review in which it didn't fit a coolermaster praetorian). The apollo might be a bit bigger - does anyone have any advice about this?

I didn't include prices because I'm buying the parts gradually over the next month, so that I can take advantage of the rebates etc. that come up.

Any other comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated - thanks ahead of time!

I don't use Air coolers.. so I'll leave that to somebody with more experience to answer your question.. but I do see a fault in your specs.

The Power supply. It's the only part you listed which can truly be improved upon. Try something in the 480-600W range from either OCZ (GameXtreme lineup), Seasonic, PC Power & Cooling, Fortron and Enermax (Liberty, WhisperII, NoisetakeII or Galaxy Lineups).

That's my only recommendation. Antec are poor compared to the competition when it comes to efficiency.

Looks good. I would drop to the E6300 though. The only 2 Conroe chips actually worth getting are the 6300 and 6600. The 6400 and 6700 are just clocked a bit higher, but these chips overclock so well that you might as well save yourself the money.
