Hi everyone. I bought a NZXT Lexa case that should be coming in tomarow. I plan on ordering an E6600. but to the question. I want to get the SCMN-1000 cooler to cool my E6600. will it fit in the Lexa case? :? because i hear its big 8O and the case has a fan on the side as well. anyone know? please respond with haste because I do plan on ordering tonight

No extra cooling is required to cool the e6600. :D

You can almost get a 100% overclock on the stock hsf, which by the way runs whisper quiet. First, and probably the only, time Intel has done something right.

You can still buy that HSF, but it will only be for flashiness. It will neither help you Ocing nor temperatures.

GL and HF.

While the chip runs cool and the stock cooler will be just fine for cooling, it also tends to get a little loud. So if noise is a factor I would look into the aftermarket solutions

i know that the stock will work, i just wanted to know if it will fit inside that particular case. i want it because it looks sweet as hell  , more silent, and will keep the processor ice cold  and I have some extra dough to burn. i plan on getting a different fan, a weird turbin type fan with LEDs found on xoxide. thats a little louder but produces over twice the air flow for even better cooling  i want to see what the temps will be like. but back the question. will it fit?

I also want to oc it to about 3 ghz. if i oc it to around that speed will DDR2-800 ram be sufficent? what about N590 mobos, will they allow me to oc it to that? i hear they are bad at oc. but anyways, i still want to know if it will fit in that case.

Yeah 6400 ram will be just fine for you. I would really recomend 975 or 965 chipsets if you want to overclock. Search for articles related to the nforce and there are a couple theads with the subject. And the fan should fit just fine, gl with your new system
