Hey all,

I need some info on satellite internet. If anybody has it, could you let me know how good it is. I am not really looking to play games on it. I mainly need it for on line classes. I have read all the info about Direcway by direct tv. Any help would be greatly apprecitated.

From what i have heard they are ok if your not playing games. You can usually get two flavors: 1) satalite download with regular phone line modem upload - cheapest, 2) download and upload off satalite - most expensive. Also some will limit you on bandwith if you are downloading too much.
Is satalite your only option? Cable, dsl, phone out of the question?

Satellite is the only option for now. It could be five years before anything comes down my way. There are not enough people where I live for them to bring anything down this way. Thanks.
