From what I've read the X1950XTX will be $449 retail for both "vanilla" and crossfire models.

Sure, the X1950XTX Xfire will be better than the X1900XTX Xfire but at these prices, it will cost 50% more and provide only up to ~15% better framerates.

If Obilivion is your game, the X1950XTX Xfire wins by a small margin. For price/performance, the X1900XTX Xfire is the way to go.

First of all, this thread is talking specifically about the X1900XTX - notice the extra X.

Besides that, the chart shows the old price of the X1900XT (no X) at around ~$350. Considering that the XTX is around 5 bucks more right now after MIR, I think I don't have to say which one I'd pick.

Give me a break that you show 3DMark06. Puh-lease. How about some real benchmarks with some games.

Here's one: Tom's Hardware IGG

And here's another: Anandtech Video Benchmarks

But, I'm sorry, they don't have the 7900GT, they have the 7900GTX and the X1900XT (no X) beats the 7900GTX in almost every benchmark.

So how does the 7900GT have the same/even better performance than even the X1900XT. It doesn't.

fishy "The 7900 GT is $50 cheaper with the exact same/even better performance in certain cases, no MIR."

Yeah, Never fails to amaze me when time and time again people elevate the 7900GT to levels way beyond reality. Stock speeds it has a hard time keeping up with a X1800XT, yet once again here's another 7900GT > X1900XT fairytale. NV's PR team must love what they have been able to do to young foolish minds.

that x1900xtx also is clocked less than the other x1900xtx's.. but still a great deal. i've also read reviews at newegg about msi not wanting to send out rebates promptly..
