I just want to give it a bit more zip.

Can someone give me the correct settings to bump this system up a bit?

I tried changing the CPU Freq but had to short the CMOS to get it to boot again. I am just not understanding the AMD side of things especially in the BIOS settings.

This system is:
Crucial 1gb 2x512 DDR2 PC-2 5300
AMD 3500
Abit KN9S
Connect 3D X1800 GTO

Cooling is good everything is nice and cool.

Thanks for any tips

Sorry, but someone can't just give you numbers and you plug them in. It can do things more dangerous than not letting you boot.

Go slow. 2-3Mhz at a time. Have you read some OC'ing guides? They help loads. PCSTATS has a good OCing one, the very one I learned from..

Thanks I will check that one out..

I AM getting lazy in my old age, I just really don't have the time or attention anymore to keep up with the details, but I still need to be able to tweak stuff occasionaly :)

Yeah, good luck! Remember, "OC quick and you'll have a burnt chip!"

It might be a bug, though. Updating the BIOS usually helps OC'ing a good bit.
