Yes, it's a decent setup. However, I'm assuming you have the case, PSU, RAM, HDD, and CD/DVD drives right?

I don't know how much a C2D is, but you can look into that as well.

Well, whatever suits you. I myself don't like Intel, but if AMD doesn't get the ball rolling, I may be purchasing a Core 2 Duo notebook in the coming months. Hopefully AMD+ATi will come out with decent chipsets and lower the price on the Turion X2 TL-60.

What are you considering for the RAM, PSU, HDD, etc?

Get Corsair or OCZ RAM (I never used G. Skill but they look decent).

As far as HDDs, I reccomend Seagate and WD; Maxtor doesn't seem to be very good in quality/performance.

PSUs: Seasonic, OCZ, Silverstone, and Thermaltake Toughpowers look good too.

Also, a word of advice, don't buy anything until you have all the cash available. The reason being is that technology changes so fast, and new rebates and price cuts happen all the time...

Corsair XMS 2 TWIN2X Matched Pairs 2048MB Xtreme Memory DDR2 800Mhz PC6400 240-pin Unbuffered ( TWIN2X2048-6400PRO)

any one know how much time can be needed to recive it if they say ordered upon request???

gerd drive : Western Digital Caviar 250GB SATAII (WD2500KS) 7200RPM 16MB Buffer (OEM) for 92.00

i already got case : Sunbeam Acrylic Case

PSU :
Thermaltake Silent PurePower W0019RUC Butterfly 480 Watt PSU Black w/ Active PFC, 7 Color LED

the rest is pretty generic

As far as what you have picked, they will work pretty well.

However, the PSU is an older model. It will most likely work, though make sure you have the 20-24pin adapter and a PCI-E power cable.

You should receive your stuff within the week, or at least I always did from Newegg, ZZF, and Bestbyte...
