I want to buy a USB 2.0 Ethernet adapter.

I would like for it to be compatible with Acronis True Image 9 Workstation.

The True Image Recovery CD uses Linux, and so far my best bet is to simply chose the USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapter that seems the most compatible with linux.

However I am hoping to find someone who has used a particular adpater and knows for certain it works with the True Image 9.x Recovery CD.

Thanks

I don't quite understand what you're getting at. The network adapter, whether USB, onboard, wireless, etc., doesn't care what's passing through it. Could be email, music, spreadsheets, online gaming packets, top secret decoder ring data..... As long as the adapter and it's driver works for the OS it will work. I haven't restored a ghost image remotely before but it the PC is on the network, it's there. And if you're restoring a disk from a CD, the adapter is never used anyway.

But you can always just call their presales phone number or email tech support to ask if True Image has some weird aspect to it.

And what OS will you be booting from when it comes time to restore an system partition from a network image?

True Image uses Linux while Ghost uses Windows PE.

If the recovery enviroment doesn't happen to have built in drivers for your device then your device is not going to work.

Neither Acronis, nor Norton maintain a list of compatible devices.

And searching the support forums only tell you what devices people have had problems with.
