I wanted to do a little external mod job on my case. The front of my case is pretty nice but I want to outfit the... gills (whatever they're called) with some LEDs to match the inside of my case.

I was thinking about buying some spare LEDs, taking a molex lead, cutting off the wire and connecting it directly to the LED. Would that work? And are LEDs polarized?
