0x80070005: Access is denied. E_ACCESSDENIED

CLSID - 3ad41ba8-06ce-4a6f-94b2-bc8cde6ab807

I believe this indicatesa a problem with the permissions.

But I do not know what a "CLSID" is, or how it pertains to these
errors?

-Any help at all would be appreciated. Does anyone know the steps to
fix. Thank you.

So far, I have talked to support and they have asked me to provide
them with these request below.

Hopefully this will help someone else with this problem.

When and if I learn more, I will post it here. Thank you.

Does anyone have any Ideas?

CLSID {3ad41ba8-06ce-4a6f-94b2-bc8cde6ab807} [0x80070005].
A search of the registry on Computer:RAS Server of the CLSID, provided
the information below.
OfmProvider
Open File Manager
3ad41ba8-06ce-4a6f-94b2-bc8cde6ab807
- this led me to the AppID KEY -
{1050FFB4-4CD0-4E71-BDFA-32B65F81CAE6}
- which led to---C:\PROGRA~1\STBERN~1\OFM\NT\I386\OFMVSS~1.EXE
OfmProvider

-------------COLLECT THIS INFORMATION.
-MSD (all tabs, complete):

A System Information .NFO file - in Control Panel-Administrative
Tools, choose Computer Management. Right click on System Information
and choose Save As System Information File. Be sure to wait until the
Save Dialog closes - it takes a minute or so to collect the
information. Save the file as <servername>.NFO.

-the ofmnt.cfg (in C:\PROGRAM FILES\OFM\NT\ by default).

-the ofmnt.log (in C:\PROGRAM FILES\OFM\NT\I386\ by default).

-the backup log covering the period of time when the problem occurred
(even if no backup was in progress)

-application and system event logs

Export of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services
and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\St. Bernard Software.

a. Launch REGEDIT b. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\St. Bernard Software.
c. Choose Registry-Export Registry File from the top menu. d. Create a
file name and select a destination in Export Registry File Dialog.

e. Repeat for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

What Anti-Virus Application/version is used?
What Backup Application/version is used?
What is the serial number of OFM being used?

-------------COLLECT THIS INFORMATION.
1) Do you have Microsoft Exchange installed on the system?
2) Is this a cluster?
3) Can you please run the command "VSSADMIN LIST WRITERS" immediately
after a backup and and cut & paste the output in your reply.
4) Does your backup succeed?

PLEASE POST YOUR IDEAS, THANKS!

<snip>

I was having this exact problem as well.

I ran Defrag Manager 3.0 from http://www.winternals.com and the problem

went away, I don't have any idea why this worked. If anyone has any
ideas,

please enlighten me. Thank you.
