I have an Asus A620 and a bluetooth dongle for the pc. when i try to
connect to the pc to do anything it only shows up some connection called
'p'. It used to allow me to do internect connection sharing and file
sharing and all the other stuff. I can't even get it to connect to that
'p' connection. it just times out every time.

I run winxp with sp2. has anyone else had similar problems?

XP sp2 seems to have crippled bluetooth somewhat. Both tech supports I
talked with told me that.

I spent all day yesterday playing with bluetooth and my Axim x50.

The first was a USB BT adapter. XP doesn't like the drivers, and
continuously tries to install its own drivers while you are trying to
install the OEM drivers. With no luck on that one, I exchanged it for a
different brand (DBT 120 b4). Same deal with that one. It wouldn't work with
the supplied drivers, even doing what they said had to be done with SP2.
They told me I would have to call back tomorrow to get some security code
(not the problem). So I experimented with the MS drivers and was finally
able to use it with activesync. Until I logged out and back in. Then it went
through the whole "new device found" hassle again, and had to go through all
the settings again and set it up. Not what I want to do...

So I just took it back and got a refund.

This site might have some tips for you:
