I was in the store and reached down to buy the Microsoft wireless laser desktop box at the computer store and when I got home I was shocked to find that the box read:
Microsoft wireless laser desktop for Mac
For mac only. Ooops. I usually never make this mistake but i was in a hurry.
IM usually smart enough to read the box.
So can I just download the drivers for PC and it will work. I havnt opend it yet. ANd it was on going out buisness sale with no returns.
Macs have been using USB long before wintel machines even knew they existed.
This particulare mouse/KB set was specifically made by Microsoft for Apple Mac minis and other users who have made the switch from the world of windows to Macs. Almost 2/3 of new macs sold are to people who never used a mac before.
Macs have supported 2 button window mice since OSX without the needs for drivers.
This unit has the special mac keys such as the "open apple" and other mac specific keys.
Go to the apple site and check out the "mighty mouse" Looks like a solid mouse but the front sides are touch sensitive for primary and secondary clicks. It has a small roller ball for moving up, down and side to side in web pages and spread sheets.
The only thing to get used to is not resting your finger on the left side when trying to do a right click as the mouse sees it as a left click.
Did you even read the OP. He dosn't have a MAC but ended up getting a MAC only KB/Mouse. Now he is stuck with it and cant use it.
Yes I read his post and I replied to it. See the name on the third post. that is me.
My post on the mighty mouse was in reply to your post; "Wow i didn't know that MAC had made the switch to a 2 button mouse. Man i learn sumthing new every day on here. Thanks"
I was telling you how far mac mice have come from your last experience with them.
