I have an x800 gto in my agp system and it works great. I payed $175 for it this spring and it's down to about $125. It's an awsome card. You could get an x800xt which is the next step up from the x800gto. But the Gto is fine. I was able to unlock the extra 4 pipelines and overclock it a little bit.

Otherwise, I would say go for a 6600gt or a 7800gs. Yeah the 7800gs is expensive, but it is the best and last agp card ever designed.

So take your pick.

Leadtek A7600GT

It performs better than all the cards you mentioned, but it's out of stock right now. If you don't want to wait for it to come back in stock, the 6800GS is your best bet.

So the 6800GS is better then the extreme? That might be the one I go with then, because that price is perfect for me. The 7600 you mentioned I could probably do money wise.....but is it that noticible of a diference then the 6800GS?

If its enough of a diference I wouldnt mind paying out another 40$ for something I would be happier with, and be able to stay with longer.

thanks for the replys guys :)

on the ati thing Ive owned 2 ati cards in my life, and neither time I was that happy with. It was a long time ago when they always had issues with drivers, which I dont believe is a problem anymore......so changing back over to ati isnt out of the question.....Ill take a look at the 2 cards you recommended.

thanks!

Hey guys I have the same question.

Which is better? The leadtek 7600 GS or the BFG 6800 GS?

The 6800 GS has 256 Bit Lane so wouldn't that make it better than leadteks? Can someone confirm please.
