Hey, i'm building a new system and need some help picking a motherboard.
It's going to be E6300 Core 2 Duo to be upgraded at a later date, DDR2 RAM, SATA HDDs, All pretty standard stuff. I'm looking to spend up to and arround £120. Thanks

It is not quite clear from your post whether you are getting E6300 and will upgrade to something better later on, or if you already have older CPU which you will upgrade to E6300 later.

In the case E6300 is your final goal and you are on a budget you may get any 965 mainboard or even some 945 or VIA/SIS/whatever Conroe Ready mainboard.

If you can afford it, get 975 based mainboard.

Hey, thanks for the responses. I'm buying the E6300 but will upgrade later to something like the E6600.
How important is chipset when i'm picking? Are any perticular chipsets better than the others? Any to avoid?

Thanks again
