I'm not liking the ECS motherboard in my signature and would like a much better board. I was looking at the Asus P5B Deluxe or Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6. What are your experiences with these boards, and what board would you recommend (any other boards are welcome).

Thanks,
KillerG

are you planning on getting another vga card to run crossfire? if no than i'd go with asus p5b(non deluxe), it's cheaper than the ones you chose and it is a very good stable board :!: 8)

The 2 motherboards I mentioned will not run in crossfire mode due to the 2nd slot being 4x. I really wasn't planning on doing crossfire, but if a board is able to do it I wouldn't complain.

the DQ6 is an amazing board. ive been using it with great results and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new MB as long as they dont want SLI. so basically if its between those two DQ6 definately.

I am using the Deluxe wifi version, I love being wireless out of the box.

The asus also auto resets the board if you go over the edge on OCing. Priceless on a new core/board combo that has not been out long.

Recovered me nicely after pushing my e6600 too far.

so what's the max stable clock you were able to reach?

cool. hopefully it treats you as well as it treats me. another feature i love is the all passive cooling and with the amount of heatpipes on it i doubt ill ever need to upgrade it.
