To be honest, by limiting your choice of "performance" ram to 120 your not getting performance ram you're getting value ram. Any good performance ram is going to be 150+, same goes for mobos, you are going to hate your mobo if you spend 75 bucks on it. If i was you I'd look at the guy below you whose selling an e4300, mobo, 2 gigs of ram, and a nice aftermarket cooler for 450..that's a steal. Plus you can buy an 8600gt for about 180 200ish and see a decent improvement.
How so?
XMS2 sell for 117 on new egg
OCZ Platinum sell for 113 after rebate.
+ the item being used deducts another 25-30% right
So 120 is a good limit price for ram. (even if you don't count the rebate its still in my price range)
Asus M2N-E motherboards i've seen go for about $75 on ebay. It's not the best but i don't think i'll hate it.
I'd consider performance ram DDr800 or higher, the good tuff is 150 at a minimum. Additionally, 30% for being used seems like a HUGE loss. I'd say 15% is more in line. Regardless, I'd still say the guy selling the components for 450 is a good del.
I got a 5 month old 6300 I would be interested in selling. Thinking about going up to a 6600. Its perfectly stable and has never been over clocked as its running on a standard intel G965 board. It would include the stock hsf, original box, and packaging.
