Turn off computer, remove 6 pin molex connector, unscrew bolt from expansion bay, do some jiggling, and the card should be free.

Molex connector is 4-pin, but yeah, what he said :)

Just make sure you UNPLUG the computer, too. Power is still supplied to the motherboard EVEN WHEN TURNED OFF.

EnforcerFX is talking about the 6pin PCI-E power connector, cant remember but I think its still called a molex anyway.

Oh, and if you're getting a different brand of graphics card, you should run the driver scrubber utility thing to remove the current video drivers before removing the card.

Ah! Ok. I stand corrected.

Thanks guys for the help :D but i kind of knew that (my fault - should have been more specific) i've gotten that far, my issue is with the little jiggling around.

This isn't my motherboard but if you look at the PCI-E slot there's a little white bit at the end of the black PCI-E card... is this holding the card down or something and if so how do i stop it doing this? Thanks again for any help :D

That's designed to lock the card in place. If you have that then you need to pull it and hold it while removing the vid card.

This will prevent you from safely removing the card if you don't pull it out.

Push the tab towards the bottom of the case and pull the card out. If you look at the picture you referenced then you push the tab to the left.

Agreed. Also, try not to clang the card against any expansion cards or anything else in the computer. Pull it out nice and slow, if their are many objects in the way. Expansion cards, fans, etc. Good Luck.

It's not called a molex; it's called a PCIe connector.

I think it's called driver cleaner pro or something

You can easily push that locking tab by pressing on the white upper tab with a pen. With your pc turned off, of course.
