is the difference simply clockspeeds? so if i buy the KO version i'm basically paying $40 more for a card that's overclocked as opposed to the GT that i can simply overlock myself? I don't get it. maybe i am missing something.

There might also be a difference in the cooling. I know that all the KO cards have a copper cooler that covers all the RAM along with a bigger fan. Can you post links to the two cards you're looking at?
Ah yes now that you mention it I vaguely remember hearing somewhere that the KO versions have a copper heatsink... that would explain the price difference somewhat.
I'm planning on watercooling anyways so I will buy the cheaper version. Thanks guys
