Why are they killing off all the good deals?

Man, so many deals on video cards were out there that looked so good and within 2 days BOOOM, they're all gone. WHAT GIVES????? Are they bringing out some totally new card lines pretty soon?

Getting rid of old stock. Otherwise they take up valuable warehouse space. Also, if they are just lying around in the warehouse, then they are not making money.

Might have to do with the fact that kids are back in school now, and probably have their new machines. :?

Well, I just saw the price of the C2Extreme drop to $1009 at Newegg. I purchased mine a few weeks ago for $1149. So some good deals are still available. My guess is that they're flushing out their shelves in preparation for a major holiday push.
