ok i am new to overclocking. ive mostly just been playing around with asus' ai booster. but now im haveing problems with my ram. this is my system:

ASUS P5W DH Deluxe
Cel D 331 2.66 Ghz (just till i get my e6600 which ive been waiting for for a month)
2x dvd cd r/w
stock HS (ive got a zalman cnps 9500 waiting in the box to kool my e66)
2gb 667 ddr2 (knigston kver667d2n5k2)
radeon x1900xt (just one)
700w Thermaltake tough power

my case is the thermaltake matrix vd3000 swa (worst mobo/case combo ever) it has 2x 12cm fans (one in front one in back) and i installed 1x 8 cm in the front (in the 2 5.25 drive bays left)

what i know is that bus speed x multiplier = ghz (my cel d is 133x 20 = 2.66) and that ram speed is half whats indicated (ddr2 800/2 = 400mhz) but my ram is running at 276mhz instaed of 333.

my questions are is this because my cpu is set at 133mhz (133x2=267)therefore my mobo can only apply the 1:2 ratio? or can i change the ration in my bios so that itll run at 333 regardless?

if my theory is correct and my ram is running slow b/c of my cpu then when i get my e66 and boost it to 333mhz the ram should ajust itself for a 1:1, right? or did i loose my self in the math?

one last thing i keep hearing about pci bus speeds and being careful about playing with ur dividers what does that mean?

any help would be appreciated

We'll I'm not so much up on Intel OCing... I'm a AMD guy. But I assume you are talking about stock speeds. 133 is the frontside bus speed. 20 is your multiplyer for the CPU. This has nothing to do with memory. Well it does to an effect. Upping the bus speed also increases memory speed. Drop you memory to 533Mhz speed. Also, this is important. Lock the pci bus at 100Mhz. Not 100 percent sure, but as far as I know this should be right. You HAVE to lock the pci bus as it's speed rises with your overclock. Any Intel OCer's? Hell I might be totally wrong!
