i did a fresh install im using a sata hdd

It's probably not this, but try going into BIOS as you boot and watching your CPU temps for awhile.

It's strange that it won't boot. Maybe the HDD is bad. What does scandisk say?

I had the same issue with an Asus bd when I had my second SATA drive plugged in, and when I had just the primary, I had no problems. Supposedly SP2 made adding drivers unecessary at the preload, but I have also seen statements where people had to go that route. If you have 2 drives, disconnect one, and retry boot. If it works, try getting any native drivers from MB company (great Intel), and load at preload question where it asks for any Raid drivers. Why this still happens I don't know but it has worked in many cases I have read.
