conroe and nvida 590

can someone please help me with this i got from a thread,

What nForce 590 SKI I.E. does is allow you to opt for SLI or CrossFire. It's all about choice, and we welcome it for that.

does that mean i can get the Asus P5W DH Deluxe and be able to run either crossfire or sli??? cause i want to run 2 x 7600 gt's on it. either that or i wait for the 590nvida chip to come on the asus?? couple of mths??? who knows????

  1. ewww..... what a waste of money. NEVER EVER SLI two 7600GT's. You won't see any benefit from it at all. SLI and Crossfire are generally a waste of money even if you are doing it properly anyway.... 3 months later, a card will come out that beat both of your cards in SLI, by itself.

If I were you, I wouldn't waste my money.
  2. One 7900GT costs under 300$ and will out perform two 7600GTs. Not only will you save money but you will get more performance.

As far as the Asus P5W DH Deluxe, I think you can find hacked nvidia drivers online for SLI if you do decide to go SLI.
  3. i tend to agree no reading all the posts and seeing all the preformance results, but one question to you do you think the gigabyte 1975x board is s good choice for a 7900gtx??? or ever the dq6 board??
  4. Don't bother with a GTX....... another waste of money. If you're going to get a high end card, get a 7900GT. If you want to move to DX 10 once those cards become available, get a single 7600GT for now.
  5. The dq6 has gotten good reviews from what I saw. Good layout and good overclocker. Haven't really read much about thier 975 boards though.
  6. yeah iam begining to think the 7900gt ' s good choice, you see i had already brought a amd m2m32sli, and was getting 2 x 7600gt's, but changed my whole layout then conroe hit the market, now iam struggling to find a good board that had the m2n32sli characterstics, until they release the 590sli conroe based board....iam not waiting, ive been waiting for 3 mths now to get new comp (cause i sold my last one) man need a comp.........
