problems with ATI Tool

I'm having problems with ATI tool, i have the PowerColor x800gto 256mb, 256bit, and it wont overclock past 415core/513mem, (400/499 stock) when it reaches 415 the monitor just goes black then the computer restarts. any tips? :?:

Which beta ATI tool are you using?

Get 0.25 Beta 15.

No dont go with that one or the beta 25 16, both are full of bugs right now. You can go to techpowerup.com and read about it for yourself. Wizzard is fully aware there are problems right now.


The most stable versions to date are beta 25 13 and beta 25 14.

Why do you keep reporting this version to be flawed?
This is an oc utility made to do things the card wasn’t designed for and it works just fine.
Some problems will be expected with each individual experience.
I am using beta 25.16 and see no problems.

That's your experience with the utility and respectfully appreciated.
The fact is you need to play with the voltages with a fresh driver install to be credible.
Not even the most stable versions are good for some people.
You have to try other versions to see what works best for your individual needs.

All in all it’s a risk to use any of the ati tools so use what is stable for you not others.

Im using a 9800 GTX OC and i wanna push it to its best so i got the ATITool to help me but im gettin a message that the Video card isnt being used by windows an it tells me to go to my display properties an settings an enable the monitor output of the card im having trouble doing that i dont know if its bc im running vista any tips/help?
