I am trying to decide between these two systems. They are both the same price. The main question I am asking is this: Upgrade the AMD system with RAM later on OR upgrade the intel system with another video card for SLI? Which one do you think would result in a more capable system and why? Your choices are the following two systems... I will not be overclocking either system.

Optical drives and sound card will be salvaged out of the system being replaced.
system 1:
Motherboard= Asus M2N32-SLI DLX nForce 590 SLI Motherboard

CPU=AMD Athlon 64 FX62 AM2 Processor

RAM=Corsair TwinX 1GB PC6400 DDR2 Memory

Video Card= 2x BFG 7900GT OC 256MB PCIE SLI Video

HD=500GB (2 X 250GB SATA 7.2K) RAID 0 Stripe

System 2:
Motherboard= Intel D975XBX ATX Motherboard

CPU= Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 2.93GHz Processor

RAM= Corsair TwinX 2GB PC6400 DDR2 Memory

Video Card= ATI Radeon X1900 XTX 512MB PCI-Express Video (ONLY ONE... I can install a second and make it "Crossfire" or SLI or whatever later on)

HD= 500GB (2 X 250GB SATA 7.2K) RAID 0 Stripe


system 1 comes with SLI but 1GB less RAM. System two comes with 2GB RAM and a better video card (when upgraded i believe it would be a better system). which one would you choose and why?

System 2 Most defintely. Drop to a x1900xt, and save your dough for a DX10 card and vista. Believe me, you'll need it.
