bad cpu temp sensor on p5b boards?

well i read around about how people with core2 cpus were getting really high temps. almost all of them say its the sensor on the asus board and not the cpu. i choosing wallpapers for my desktop and all of a sudden i see this warning pop up stating that my cpu temps are at 61c... i open the case and my heatsink isnt even hot. im afraid to even install any games now because im not sure whether its getting false readings or not. anyone know if it is actually getting hot? or if its just a bad reading. thanks

Check for Bios Updates on the Asus Site, I believe that the latest is 0509?

If not contact asus tech support, they can do more for you than most of us probably.
