Doesn't matter between 5300/5400. Yes, use two sticks of RAM, in order to run it Dual-Channel. If you're going to put a Core2Duo in the motherboard, stick with PC4200..as it's best to run the RAM synchronously(1:1). If you intend on overclocking, then PC5400 may be better. If you aren't overclocking, and you get PC5400, you may be able to run it at lower timings@ 4200 speed. Just a couple of things to consider, hope i haven't confused you. GLI'm not sure if it matters whether I use 5300 or 5400 memory for this board. does anyone know? Also, if I want to put 1GB, I should use two 512 sticks, yes?
No problem, it should be okay. The thing that i don't like about it, is the lack of heatspreaders. I would still suggest that you run it at 533MHz@ 4-4-4-12, and just make sure that it doesn't run too hot. As long as you have some decent airflow in your case, you should be okay. GLdamn, I already checked out at newegg with the 5300 and got this
"Crucial Technology Ballistix 1GB (2 x 512MB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Unbuffered DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel kit System Memory - Retail"
Is it ok?
