p4 630 overclocking

I have had this p4 for a couple months now and decided to overclock for fun. I up'd the fsb straight from 800 to 1000 and brough my system to 3.7 odd ghz. My tempature level idle was 45 + 3*c. system booted up and has been running fine. I just brought the oc back down to 3.3 ghz becuase I wanted to know what a safe temp is for a idle oc'd cpu and a little worried it might overheat and die? What will 41c have on the life expectancy of the cpu?

Cpu 3.3 ghz oc'd idle at 33c <--- Is this a good tempature and should I seriously go back up to 3.7 or more : ) ? New to overclocking and wanting some opinions. I am a gamer/programmer and I love a fast computer.

Looks like under 100% cpu load it stays at a 52c.

You should be fine at the higher overclocked temps, as long as your vCore isn't over 1.55v. I run a 2.4A Prescott O/Ced to 3726@1.55v. The idles temps @~28C ambient are ~45C and 60-61C Load. GL

Thanks. I think I will gradually increase over time. I didnt see any problems when I hit 3.7, just worried temp wise. Also, did notice about a 8-9c + increase in my gpu tempature ( 48c).

Everything looking good.
