I put an extra 4 gigs of DDR2 into my computer along with putting plates on the back that were missing now my computer keeps shutting down.

Can't upload images to imageshack for some reason but I downlaoded Speedfan and it's looks like this

Fan1 1962 RPM......................GPU: 48C
FAN2 0 RPM..........................TEMP1 25C
FAN3 0RPM...........................TEMP 2 -11C
FAN4 0 RPM.............................TEMP3 34C
FAN5 0RPM...............................CORE 49C

Grateful for any help.

Using GA-M57SLI-S4
Athlone 64x2 6000+
6 gigs DDR2

Try using a 64-bit OS, if you aren't already.

Try different memory modules, and try again with the originals out.

Temps seem OK.

Now please stand still, I need to take measurements for the traditional llama-suiting...

What ram config you got? 1-1-2-2 GB?

Are the extra modules the same spec as the original? Have you checked you're putting enough juice through? Try notching up the voltage by a step (keeping within spec) and see how that works.

also try switching to unganged mode, if you're runing ganged.
