Building this for a friend. Already have harddrives, optical drives, and monitor. Haven't decided on case yet.

Does everything look good? Anyone have any suggestions or ways to decrease price any without hitting performance too bad?

Thanks for any help

ASUS P5B Deluxe is an expensive P965 board. Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 will save $90 right there.

"Already have harddrives, optical drives" 965 motherboards only have 1 P-ATA channel = 2 devices (like optical drives or IDE hard drives. What hard drives and optical drives are you trying to migrate over?

Getting a x1900 XT will give you 90% of the GPU power and save $75.
What monitor, gaming resolution and games does your friend use?

With the x1900 XT you could save another $50 on a PSU with a PSU like the Antec NeoHE 500W.

How much of a savings were you looking for? How much overclocking will you plan on doing?
