Hi

I am planning to buy a RADEON X1900 XT card, but have found two flavours: one with 512 MB BLK memory and one with 512 MB memory. The latter is about 10-15 % more expensive.

Can anybody explain the difference between 512 MB BLK and 512 MB memory? Does it justify the extra cost? Your advice willl be appreciated.

Hi,

Well, thanks for replying anyway. Nobody seems to have any idea :(

After my initial post, it occured to me that BLK may have nothing to do with the memory on the board. Still, it seems rather unlikely that it has anything to do with the colour of the card....

The official naming of the products is:

Sapphire RADEON X1900 XT (PCIExp 512 MB BLK) and
Sapphire RADEON X1900 XT (PCIExp 512 MB)

You can find them on this webpage http://kakaku.com/sku/price/055057.htm which lists the cheapest shops for RADEON cards in Tokyo (where I live).
