I am almost ready to build my Conroe CPU based PC. The mobo choice is giving me a big headache though. Here are my choices so far:

Asus P5N32 SLI Premium WiFi NF590 SLI, S775, PCI-E, DDR2 533/667/800, SATA II, SATA RAID - £170.32

ASUS P5NSLI NF570 SLI, S775, PCI-E (x16), DDR2 533/667, SATA II, SATA RAID, ATX - £73.12

ASUS P5W64 WS Professional i975X, S775, PCI-E (x16), DDR2 533 / 667 / 800, SATA II, SATA RAID, ATX - £182.82

As you can see there is a difference in price of about £100 from top to bottom but is the performance difference also that far apart? Money is not a huge issue, I can afford the more expensive board. I will always have a problem with wasting money though.

I will be building my system for gaming but I am not over concerned with having SLI. I might try over clocking a little but I am not experianced there and so I wont bother unless I feel there is a real benefit from it.

So are the top boards really worth the additional £40+?
