C2D hsf installation

can somebody pls explain a bit better to me how to install the stock C2D HSF on my P5B Deluxe/wifi? or is there an alternate way? I read a post that suggested to turn the pins counterclockwise (unlock position) push the pins in place and the lock them again. is that true?

this is the worst emchanism i've ever seen so you're not alone. At least with the old socket 7 style i knew the heatsink was on and didn't have to bend the board to make sure it was.

I don't think it matters. The directions say to push it in to install it and then to take it out you twist the pins. When you push it in you'll hear a snap each time. You can twist them first and then push it and then twist again. I don't think it matters though. I've tried both ways and it didnt improve anything.
