Hi, im doing a new E6600 gaming-machine and have some overclocking in mind (not much, just with stockfan to begin with)

Anyway, I think its stands between theese:


Corsair XMS2 6400 DDR2, 1024MB PC6400 64Meg x 8, CAS 5-5-5-15, 800MHz, 240pin

or

That was around 483$ in norway.

Sorry, hard to tell what country folks are in sometimes. Think of it this way: that's $200 off a trip to visit friends in the USA (or someplace else w/cheap prices).

Wow! I'm surprised you don't have ships sneaking into northern fjords at night to smuggle memory DIMMs!

Anyway, I would get the first on the list, the 2x 512MB Corsair PC2-800 CL5. 1GB of RAM is plenty for most things, and then get 1GB (2x512) or 2GB(2x1GB) more sometime in the next 6 months when prices drop back down.
