NOOO! WHY! get the 7900GS! how could you! look a 7900GS has 20 pipelines 500 core clock, 1380 memory clock! AND THAT STOCK SPEEDS. you know what is costs only 230 bucks lower if you could find them.

EDIT: found a BFG 7900GS which is a bit faster and even cheaper 220$ kills that HIS X1900GT

I just left the nVidia camp, and their image quality sucks asss royaly(fuck you Paul).

Like I said earlier, I'm not up on the reviews of this card, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it beating the 7900GT in some benchamrks.

Regardless....I'm stepping away from nVidia for a few months till I get tired of ATi again....(it's a vicious circle).

No sh!t. Hopefully this X1900GT will be better than all those X800GTOs   . GT is just one letter away from GTO  The card looks nice, though; gotta love that IceQ cooler.

Why the sudden upgrade? Did you manage to sell your 7800GS??

Okay....I just read some reviews pitting the 7900GT against the X1900GT, and the ATi card shows to be the better overall performer(plus IQ).

This would deffinately show the 7900GS to be even worse in comparison.

No, I still have it. I'm going to have Paul Ebay it for me after AGP is truly dead and gone(people will be desperate for it  )
September 12, 2006 1:33:40 AM

:!: I am not sure. I thought I saw on the VGA Charts the AIW X1900 outperforming the 1900GTO. I do not know much about cards and pixel pipelines, and what not, so perhaps someone can clarify why buy a more expensive card that is outperformed by something of equal cost with a greater value (TV Tuner, Capture capabilites, etc).

Congrats big guy; I'm almost speechless. Considering how X1800XT and X1900GT prices have shot up, that's a great price for an ice Q GT. I'll be curious to see how high you can push it. Hmm, we can race to 10K in 05.

Stock X1900GT did good in this review. (sorry, did I mention stock in a reply to you.  )

Will you advertise that it's guaranteed to overclock to 500/1500 MHz?

FTW, what did you do with your Barton?

Damn Paul...that is an impressive score he got.

He also wants $230 dollars for that card used! 8O

Maybe you would've faired better if it was an Athlon MP.
September 12, 2006 2:49:56 PM

Wow. Never thought I'd see the day.

For $220, the X1900 GT is a good card, and that's a real nice cooler there.

Let us know your overclocking results, homey.
September 12, 2006 3:26:51 PM

Sorta late to be adding to this but did you take a look at the MSI X1900XTX for $284 after MIR? MSI X1900XTX

Even though it's currently Out of Stock, new shipments are estimated to arrive 9/18. Just thought I'd pass this along before you open up your video card.
September 12, 2006 8:12:38 PM

Don't talk like that....

Your opinions is as important as anyone elses.

Besides, we all have to start somewhere.
September 12, 2006 8:31:46 PM

Easy wusy, don't write GW off just yet.

The X1900GT is kind of a mixed bag. Some people have found ways to unlock additional pipes depending on which core the card has. Albeit the success rate seems low and if you don't know what you're doing you can frag your card. If anybody here can do it, and if they have the right core, GW's one of them.
September 12, 2006 8:50:18 PM

Just ordered the evga 7900 GT CO from tigerdirect for $244 after rebate. out of the box clocked for 1500 mhz. The x1900GT is the low end ati, doubtful it matches the 7900, the XT and XTX maybe.

Not really bud. The AIW GPU's never did push like the rest. Perhaps thats just me? But I had an AIW 9800 that didnt make **** over the core or mem.

I'm just wondering if this is really GW or some other person using his hacked account.

Probably not just you, but I had an X1800 AIW before the X1900 XTX in the sig, I got the core to 735 Mhz... hit over 9000 in 3dMark 05. Pretty damn good.

All in the luck of the draw I think. :)

My mind isnt really on this generation, it's the future that I'm plugged into.

And also.....you're a dolt, and you never have known shiit about gpu's to begin with

Love when some moron posts claims, here's the links

This is the vga chart from tom's with the 7900 and 1900 gt's picked, I just grabbed the 3dmark06 benchmark, pick any one.

http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphics.html?modelx=33&m...

The low end ati (gt instead of xt or xtx) cant touch the nvidia, at $15 more for a FACTORY overclocked card that you actually get warranty support for this is a no brainer, but I guess I dont know what I'm talking about.
September 13, 2006 5:17:43 PM

YES YES YES
September 13, 2006 5:39:51 PM

The X1900GT isnt the low end, its midranged.

Your using a silly benchmark to compare these two GPU's. Both have their strengths, and personally, that GT should clock just as well as that 7900 on air. So I personally dont think he made a wrong move, he has a 3 year warranty, and obviously by then he's going to have gone through a couple more cards....so little that means in the future.
