E6300 is it worth it?

Hi,

I am upgrading to a E6300 I currently have a 939 3500+.
I mostly game, will i see a big difference in performance
in this upgrade?

I dont want to spend too much and I dont need sli
any good cheap asus mobos that can overclock a bit, any suggestions?

Any help would be appreciated.

You'll see a jump in performance when gaming, but it won't be huge until you overclock it.

It is a very expensive upgrade though taking all things into account, i.e. new CPU, motherboard and RAM.

How much of an overclock can you get on the e6300?
Any mobo recommendations?

I forgot to mention I play games like obliv, fear, q4 etc.

The only part of my old pc I will keep is my x1800xt

This will be my fitsr OC so on the OC side I'm
a noob.....

With good RAM yuo can get an overclock inexcess of 50%.

I got the Asus P5B Deluxe, but I think there are better around for overclocking to real extremes.
