I was wondering how I could cool down my ASUS P5B motherboard, wether I had to put a fan on one of the bridges or what, it is usually anywhere from 94-102F I beleive, mostly 96-98F.
I know my 2 other ASUS boards run around 80'sF. Even tho my others arent high end, i still think 100F is a bit much for the mobo, and id like to cool it down a bit.

Thank you very much, very appreciated. Thanks
If your case is using 80mm fans try using 80 to 120mm fan adapters and put a couple of 120m fans in there. I lowered the temps on my video cards by 10c by doing this, 58c to 48c idle. My MB temp dropped 3 to 4c also. From 46c to 43c idle within constant normal room temperature of 74F approx.
Take off the entire set of heatsinks, buy some generic coolers that will fit the requirements in the spaces you need... then use some thermal epoxy to glue these into place
you can try to change the thermal paste to AS5 is you have some....
for the record my poor p5w gets to 113f/45c.. i need to do that my self as it does not feel warm...so it(the heatsink) aint working....for the time i guess i will add that fan they gave me...
Heh, Well i added the front case fan in my Sonata II case and it lowered my mobo temps down to 33C so thats much better.
Now back to work on my CPU pentium D 805 temps that idle around 45C and can get up to 58c with both cores maxed. The added case fan didn't help at all with my CPU temps.
I mean im running 2 case fans, and a Zalman 9500 HSF with AS5.
Anyone got any suggestions or comments? Thanks very much
Hes probably talking about the second Temp Sensor, which is suppose to be Air Temp. That is unless he added a third temp sensor under the northbridge, and am using assuming he didnt... a 102f case temp is a bit hot...
I like to keep mine near the temp of the room, but it tends to read 10 over... this temp doesnt matter much, unless your CPU or Northbridge temp runs hot.
