well, as i said in the title, is there any hope for ddr price drops in the near future?

i mean, everyone is moving on to ddr2, so wtf with the OLDER memory prices going up?

i have been eyeing a good 2 gig kit for a while now, and now im gonna have to save some more money because the prices went up at least 30$ (on average).

should i buy now and avoid higher prices in the future, or hold out and hope prices go down, not up?

A friend of mine walked into a shop last week and bought a single 1024 DDR RAM for 140 Euro. That´s roughly 175$.

And the real kicker is, it was PC2700.

Once ddr2 take more and more hold on the market ddr will get more and more expensive. prices in old ram tech never go down they always go up. i bet i could find a edo 32 meg stick now for between $100 and $200 if not more by now. Course then again $289 for 2 gigs of corsair expert memory is good so i dunno.
