PLEASE HELP.
Maxtor 300gb was connected via PCI IDE controller as secondary master.
Worked well and had data on it. OS is Windows XP Pro SP2. When I tried to rename the HDD label, WinXP froze. I reset the computer and since then the BIOS doesn't recognize the HDD. Connecting the HDD to another computer via onboard IDE controller yeilded the same, BIOS doesn't recognize. Jumper settings are ok with any configuration.
Please advise.

Register or log in to remove.

You need the Maxtor Powermax diagnostic floppy disk.
Create one from a Maxtor download.
It boots and runs a low level format if needed.
Sets the drive as if a new purchase.

Thanks DRK.
I'll try it ASAP.
Is there any way to save the data.
Will GETDATABACK be able to restore the data after LLF?
