Hi, I need some advice, I need a machine with good performance at ripping DVD´s and I´m not sure the requirements. I think it uses mostly proccesor, is better amd or intel for this kind of things?

With 1gb RAM is enough?

Thanks

Okay, I'm going to assume you are ripping DVDs for legitimate purposes. That is you are backing up your own DVDs. 1GB is generally sufficient. Intel CPUs have traditionally been better at encoding than AMD CPUs.

Sidebar:

The NEC 3550A is a horrible DVD Burner. It cannot recognize nearly 40% of the commerical DVDs (movies) I place in it. It happens even with new DVDs that I purchase. Trash, simply trash. I'm currently researching for a replacement.
