In short what I want is to be able to play my consoles (PS2 and hopefully soon PS3 and maybe XBOX 360) on my monitor's screen. For PS2 you can just grab an average capture card, but XBOX 360 and PS3 I know can put out higher quality signal (HDTV) than normal television and I would like a card that supports it.

The longer story. I mainly want to not need a TV in my room and just use the monitor from my computer to save space. I don't want the cheapest solution and I can shelve $200 if needed for the card.
I bought a Hauppage WinTV 150 a few months ago that allows me to play my PS2 on my monitor, but I have been dissapointed with it. I can play just fine but the image quality is significantly inferior to the image I get on a TV.

I don't care about the HDTV cable or movies or HDMI, mpeg recorder on the card, remote or other recording features. What I really care about is to enjoy the games in all their quality and I want the card to be able to display max resolutions of whatever XBOX 306 and PS3 can put out.

Edit: I have a Hauppage WinTV 150 (not 250)
