Greetings,

I'm on a dial up to the internet. (Live in the sticks) I spend most of my time playing simulator games online against others. Some time ago someone mention to me to use one PC to connect to the internet and network it to the PC your using to play games and you'll have better latency and FPS. Now this was like 3-4 years ago. I know have 2 PC's (2 p3s) I'm wondering if I should try this or was this man in his right mind.
On another note I do plan on networking them and sharing an internet connection. Can do this with out a router and still have the same performance with just the two pc's networked together?

For give my ignorance but I have to idea about networking.

I don't think it will help you (question #1) Yes, using the switch portion of the router will be the same is connecting them back to back
