Somebody said something about battery calibration. I was wondering what this
is. I have a palm and haven't had to do it. So can anyone enlighten me?
Thanks

I have not heard of such a thing on Pocket PCs. Since you own a Palm
device, you may want to check in a Palm newsgroup and see if it is something
specific to those models.

Do you know which make and model? It could be that some OEMs are putting
something out there that I'm not aware of.

No. The batteries are self calibrating. It doesn't refer to the
battery so much as the OS's tools for measuring the battery life left.
All devices with LiIon do this, even Palms. 99% of the time though it
is without the users knowledge. Usually the only time you'll get an
indication this is happening is if you *fully* discharge the battery.
The iPAQ 3900 for example will tell you the battery estimate of
remaining life is not going to be accurate until the unit fully
charges and calbrates itself. The Jornada 545 though doesn't mention
it after a full discharge.

I doubt of the PalmOS devices would let the user know what was going
on. That wouldn't be zen would it? ;-)

I think this may be the equivalent of a "snipe hunt".
