If I decide to redo a backup in uncompressed mode (it was automatically compressed before), should I:

delete and re-write
re-format and re-write
try to uncompress in place (Don't know if this is possible)
??

Reformat and rewrite.

Any of the first two will work, to be honest. I assume you don't have space to just stick an uncompressed backup on the same medium as the compressed one?
