OK. I need some help on the WEB in looking for good reliable sources to purchase a new Motherboard. Preferrably either the ASUS P5B Deluxe or the GIGABYTE QS6. I'm returning the flaky P5B I got from Newegg back to them as most of you might already know from reading about my nightmaares with it.
I know of the following already: newegg.com, zipzoomfly.com, buy.com, tigerdirect.com.
Individuals may have had different experiences with these I-net shops. Some may have had a good experience, for others a great experience & for others they may be considered down right crooks.
Thanks guys in advance.

Newegg and Monarchcomputers

Thanks. Monarch hasn't been answering their phones lately. Is that a Mom & Pop Shop?

Reply to Suzukii

Nope, they are a bit bigger then that... but I think they have a limited staff... I have had good luck with them responding to me, but I have to call between normal business hours... and if they dont answer you can leave a message, email them, or try again in a half hour... its best to call between 9:00-5:00 EST

They have been working hard at helping people... From what Ive seen, from other people who have purchased that they were having a tough time with this area, and from my experiance they are going way out of their way to try and help people and to correct the problem... I even got a very nice man personal cell phone number when I had problems...

I recommend them, because unlike newegg and other large sale companies when they need to do an RMA they work hard at solving the issue, even paying for and offering overnight delivery on certain items.

Their service is what I have come to expect from my local (A real Mom and Pop type shop) small store shop JNCS (www.jncs.com)! I just couldnt buy from JNCS because I would have had to pay for taxes. JNCS is only open on weekdays, but they too have been amazing...

If you want an Item and know how to use it... I would buy it from newegg... But if you have tech issues, you will have to come to a place like this to solve your problems... This isnt the case with JNCS or Monarch. They will step up and help you to the best of their ability...

Also I know that Monarch pays for RMA shipping... at least in my experiance...

If you continue to have problems contacting Monarch... Give me a PM... I will get you in touch with a man that will help you... I dont want to give everyone his email cause it might drive the man insaine...

tHANKS. i'LL KEEP THAT IN MIND. Like I said before. I'm returning my P5B mobo back to NEWEGG.com cuz it's definetly a flaky board. I have a computer vending show to go to tomorrow & will see what's available. If I don't like what I see I'll go through Monarch, then. Thanks again.

Monarch are closed on the weekend... I received my replacement board yesterday. Blah, Now I got to deal with newegg returns... My video card is gone... I am having really bad luck.

That's sounds cool. Well, just came back from the local PC Vending Show with the GIGABYTE DQ6. I paid $15 than if I had gotten it from NEWEGG. But at least if something goes wrong, I won't be waiting for 2 week turn around time. It's a small price to pay for convenience.
Now to download the updates just incase I need 'em.

Well I got the 965P-DQ6 Mobo. Now I've learned a harsh lesson. The THERMALTAKE SILENT-775 CPU cooler won't fit onto the mobo due to the QUAD copper cooling system this beast has built onto it. Now I have to figure out what CPU cooler will fit onto this mobo. Now to post a diff. topic for this issue now.

I got a Alphacool... Should fit ANY Core2Duo made Mobo... Keeps it cool too...

Though I must complain... You put on the Artic Silver... put on the waterblock... carefully screw it down... then you attach the hoses and you see the whole block rotate. It wont fall off cause the block is held on by a single screw... but it will rotate... I created a little bracket out of plexiglass that fits into the bottom of the bracket, and goes up against the Block... Keeps it from rotating... and works great!

I must change my previous statement...

Monarch has nothing on NewEgg... NewEgg allowed me to upgrade my DS3 to the DQ6. Monarch wouldnt let me upgrade my Asus p5b. Now I am stuck with a P5B that blows so much air it doesnt even need a aircooler.

Asus Sucks... Monarch aint horrible, but Newegg is amazing.

Thanks I'll keep it in mind but, I think I'll stay away from extravagant hydro-coolers for now. I just needed a simple cooler as of this writing.

I am fortunate... Frozen CPU is located 5 minutes from me... I need a part and I take a quick drive with my computer in the back... Put it up on the counter, ask the guy "what fits this"... he says "I dont know, but let me bring some stuff up" and we try it out, making sure everything is golden.

Sometimes the owner is a bit rude, but hes a good guy. He has his on and off days:) Forget about returning anything that doesnt fit, or doesnt do what it says it does. If you want that service you better type "www.newegg.com"

Its fun to walk around that warehouse. Its like beign a kid in a candy store. So many neat things to touch and contemplate. You never get the experiance shopping online. Looking at different fittings that glow in the dark, are different colors and all different shapes.

Its dangerous. I go in their for a few parts, and start picking out items... soon I have a pile and I ask him "How Much?"... five minutes later its $200

I have sorta the same deal here in NY. I have two 1gigabit network cards I bought from the local guy, who told me recently that because I don't buy too much from him he can't accept my credit card purchases", anyway I can't return the two NICS which don't work in any of my 7 PC's. They are SYBA-GA VIA Gigabit NICs. I'm out $30. But when this guy comes through for me on other stuff he's been my ace in a whole. His store is soooo crammed with PC Goodies, glowing things & non-pc related electronics that it definetly is my FAO Schwartz toy store for PC parts.

Dont forget to check eWIZ.com, they come up with some really sweet deals every so often.

Reply to rwaritsdario

I didn't know about them. Thanks I'll check 'em out now.

Reply to Suzukii

You can see in froogle and pricegrabber that theyve got a 4.5/5 star customer rating. So you know theyre reliable.

Reply to rwaritsdario

Try Ebay... I bet you someone is selling theres, and you could probably get it for 1/2 off, and the warrenty will be good for a few years if it is a RETAIL version.
