SATAII Compatable with a SATA motherboard???

Hi,im just in the process of building my own system and am unsure if a SATAII hard drive with fit into my new motherboard which says it supports SATA but doesn't say anything about SATAII i didn't know if it would still be compatiable or not,if i can i wanna go for a SATAII as i take it their better and faster? the Link for my motherboard is below:

This is a SATAII mobo as it is built on the new nforce 5xx and when it comes to real life u won't feel a true performance difference between SATA I and II. SATA II has some better feauters if anything better than the I version.
