That kind of display infuriates me, I'd like to throw a rope around the parents necks and drag them through the streets, until I have nothing left but frayed rope, parents that would allow that, do not deserve to have a child, and I don't give a sh!t if its a cultural difference or way of life in some other country, and I hope that child gets taken away from them!
I was playing around with a puffadder on Saturday night.
Granted, it was 22.30, the outside temp was about 5ÂșC, and the snake was completely torpid. I'm not going anywhere near a venomous snake at midday.
And I certainly cannot vouch for the sanity or parental fitness of people who allow their infant children to screw around with any kind of snake. Let's say it was a 3/4-grown Burmese python? Crushed kiddie, anyone?
No wonder the world's so ____ed up, with that class of parent.
I'm from south east Minnesota and live in the bluff area, so we have a few diamond back rattlers around. One time I was biking past a small fishing pond down near the Mississippi and these kids are all gathered around poking something with sticks, and my buddy asked what they were doing and they all say, "Just playing with a snake!" So we go over to see and sure enough, it's about a 40" rattle snake... we got those kids out of there but it was pretty funny.
